EyeQ V&A Waterfront boasts easy access, good parking and a unique selection of sunglasses, frames and contact lenses. The practice is open from 9am till 9pm, seven days a week with an onsite laboratory for quick turn around time on glasses, often in the same day.

I visited the store to purchase contact lenses, but unfortunately my card could not be processed, so I offered to pay in cash instead. The staff informed me that they did not have change for 18 rand. However, there did not appear to be any effort to try to find the change or assist in resolving the situation.

When I asked what I should do, I was simply told again that there was no change available. In the end, I had to return the item and receive a refund without completing the purchase.

I was quite disappointed with this experience. At the very least, if the store prefers or only accepts card payments, it would be helpful to inform customers in advance so situations like this can be avoided.

Incredible store, incredible people. I was on travel from the United States and forgot my contacts, which I needed for a snorkeling trip. eyeQ was able to help out a panicked tourist and got me new contacts on the same day so I could enjoy the beautiful marine life. Thank you so much! I cannot recommend them enough!

I had the most incredible experience at EyeQ at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town!

After losing my glasses while on holiday (absolute nightmare 😅), I was in a complete panic. Melo immediately stepped in and managed to book me in for a last-minute emergency appointment — which already felt like a miracle. Not only that, but I was able to have a full new eye test (which was due anyway), and they cut and prepared my new glasses within an hour!

Other places were quoting two-week turnarounds, so this level of service was just phenomenal.

A huge thank you to Willem, Melo, Hope, and Puseletso for the warm, professional, and genuinely caring service from start to finish. They truly came to the rescue and sorted my problem out so quickly — absolute lifesavers!

If you’re in Cape Town and need expert, efficient, and friendly optical care, this is the place to go. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Our 1.5-year-old son accidentally broke his sunglasses, and the team here was incredibly helpful. They repaired the glasses quickly, even though we hadn’t purchased them at this store. Experienced great service at EyeQ in waterfront today. My sunglasses had a screw missing and Easter, the employee, was a great help in assisting me with having it repaired so quickly. So kind and amazing customer service. 10/10 highly recommend.
