Winston qualified in 1999 in Durban and moved to Cape Town. He worked and owned practices in Cape Town and opened EyeQ Canal Walk in 2006.

He loves equipping people adequately in their visual world and finding unique solutions to enhance their experience. He continually searches for more improved ways to do things, always striving for the perfection in optics that the EyeQ brand stands for.

Winston’s latest project has involved working on the development of a machine that creates the Fuzio 3D fit to sunglass lens edges. This enhances the interaction between lens and frame and opens the options of sunglass frame choices usually available for prescription. “I often bump into the people that I've worked with to create their unique eyewear. That makes it all worthwhile”
